Contribution of Contraception to Fertility in the Province of the Special Region of Yogyakarta

The condition of the total fertility rate in Yogyakarta Province has tended to increase last decade. But there also been a decline use modern contraception. This study aims determinant trend between Special Region (DI) using 2002/03 IDHS data and 2017 with aggregate for women childbearing age 15-49 years. results show that pattern marriage, effectiveness contraception, infertility during breastfeeding are intermediate determinants DI Province. Patterns contraception main two survey periods. increasing marital index shows reproductive period married status is getting longer can cause them be exposed possibility giving birth more children. role still dominant contributing decline. Therefore as control needs strengthened either through advocacy stake holders local government.
